All orders ship from Port Charlotte, Florida. Why is Chicago Electronic Distributors shipping from Florida you ask? It is a long story, but rest assured we were founded in Chicago and we are an Illinois corporation. The good news is that the move has had no effect on delivery times.
We currently ship orders to the contiguous states, Hawaii, Alaska, US territories, armed forces locations, and Canada. Orders placed by 2:30 pm Eastern Time Monday to Friday typically ship the same day.
Shipping Service Options
Depending on the shipping address that you enter on the checkout page, you'll see some of the following options.
- USPS Ground Advantage (available for orders under $30)
- USPS Priority Mail
- FedEx Home Delivery (for residential addresses)
- FedEx Ground (for business addresses)
- FedEx Express Saver
- FedEx 2Day
- FedEx International Economy (for Canadian address, eh!)
- FedEx International Priority (for Canadian address, eh!)
Note that services that offer similar delivery times at a higher cost will be omitted. Prices shown in the cart shipping estimator for "FedEx Home Delivery or Ground" will show the price for Ground shipping to a business address. The price of Home Delivery to a residential address entered at Checkout will be higher.
Service Times and Holiday Schedules
Both USPS and FedEx pick up and deliver packages Monday through Friday.
FedEx holidays typically include New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. Visit FedEx.com for more information.
In addition to FedEx holidays listed above, USPS is also closed on MLK Day, Juneteenth, President's Day, Columbus Day, and Veteran's Day. Please visit USPS.com for updated holiday information.
Tracking, Addressing and Shipping Cost
When we ship your order, we will email the tracking information to you.
You are responsible for entering your address correctly during checkout. We cannot be held responsible for any addressing errors. If we need to re-ship your order due to an address issue, we will invoice you for any additional charges. The "Ship To" address you enter at checkout is the exact address your shipment will go out with. Please make sure your street address is complete. Lengthy addresses may get cut off, so abbreviate where necessary, and don’t enter elements twice.
Our shipping calculator is a great way to see how much we will charge for shipping. Just go to your cart, put in your location at the bottom, and select Calculate Rates.
Stolen Packages
Please be sure you send your packages to a secure delivery address, as we are not responsible for stolen packages.
Freight Forwarders
Orders shipping to freight forwarders should be arranged with us in advance. An ID check may be required. Orders above $500 must be paid via bank transfer.
We cannot provide returns or warranties on forwarded items.
Orders shipping to hotels and other temporary residences will be canceled.
International Orders
We do not currently offer international or overseas shipping.
